Cerebral palsy is a chronic disorder that impairs control of movement, cerebral palsy symptoms appear in the early years of a childs life but cerebral palsy sufferers do not tend to worsen over time. The cerebral palsy disorders are caused by faulty brain development / brain neuron damage that disrupt the ability to control movement and posture. Cerebral palsy symptoms may include difficulty with fine skilled tasks (such as writing or sewing). Cerebral palsy sufferers also have difficulty maintaining balance and may experince involuntary movement. Cerebral palsy symptoms differ each individual. Some sufferers may also be affected by other medical problems such as seizures or mental problems. Yet cerebral palsy does not have to be a lifelong handicap. Early signs of cerebral palsy are likely to appear within 3 years of birth. Whilst there is no cure Cerebral palsy can be managed via medical treatment.
