Credit Reporting

Looking for Credit Reporting Advice?

Your credit history is probably one of the most important things to you in your life.

Your credit history is not just a record of money you owe or its repayment. I know of one person who applied for car credit three times who was in a good job, but in each instance he didn't take by the car, but on the fourth occasion when he applied for credit to buy the car he wanted, sure enough credit reporting went against him and he got turned down.

Why? well credit reporting companies looked at him as a time waster, so although credit reporting is negatively affected by late payments, or having too much on your credit card, too many credit checks can also affect your credit reporting. Credit reporting can be affected by constant late payments (why not pay the minimum by direct debit? - this will improve your credit reporting no end), CCJ's & bankruptcies will obviously affect your credit reporting. Check out our credit repair section for more information.

The three major credit reporting agencies are Equifax, Experian & Trans Union. Some services allow you to check your credit reporting for free whilst others charge you access for credit reporting.
